Goodness chia seed grab and go kit review

Hi everyone!

So today I am so excited to bring to my blog a few items from the goodness range!

I am new to this brand so decided to purchase the grab and go kit which is a great idea to let someone really give the products a go before investing in full sizes. I purchased my set for NZ $24.99.

A bit about the goodness brand if you are not familiar . They are natural & vegan-friendly. Something I love is that they do no animal testing on there products and also made in New Zealand. And they use certified organic chia seed oil which has so many great quality's for your skin!

Goodness products are available in Australia and New Zealand and I hope eventually they will be available world wide. The people that made this wonderful brand also made the trilogy natural skincare and the Ecoya range. I have never tried the trilogy range but I just adore the Ecoya range, I actually didn't know that they were behind all these different products!

Another thing that really sold me on the goodness range in that they have the NZ best in beauty award. So if all the above things didn't pull you to love them that really should, its a big achievement to have that!

Below is what I got and how I am finding them so far.

Every Day Cream Cleanser (20ml)
With all the goodness of apple extract, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils. I really enjoy this as an everyday gentle face wash. I have sensitive skin and have had no issues at all with this.

Every Week Face Scrub (10ml)
With all the goodness of powdered pumice, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils. I have only tried this twice since purchasing and while its not my favorite product out of the range it is a more gentle exfoliating type face wash I own which is nice for the times when I am having a bad skin flare up and cannot take the more intense products.

Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil (5ml)
I’ve got the balance of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids just right. I love this! This is really one of my favorite products I own. I can apply this on its own to hydrate my skin or add it to any moisturiser for that little bit extra I might need.

Every Morning Moisturiser (20ml)
With all the nourishing goodness of bilberry and hibiscus extracts, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils. This is a wonderful moisturiser and I very much enjoy using. It is thin and lightweight so is completely fine to use under makeup and is hydrating enough that it gives me enough to last all day without my skin getting dry and sore.

Every Evening Cream (25ml)
With all the goodness of honeysuckle flower extract, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils. I use this most out of all of the products in this kit. I like to use an oil twice a week on my skin at night time then the rest of the time this is what I use. I find this gives me a lot of hydration to my skin and is great for sensitive skin.

Have you tried this brand or similar products? let me know!

Well that is it for this week!

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Rimmel wake me up foundation

Happy Sunday everyone!

This evenings review is on the Rimmel wake me up foundation that I have recently purchased. I have tried and tested it for three straight weeks every single work day (15 days!).

This is wonderful! It is definitely one of the better foundations I have tried. For a long time all I have been using is matte foundations as I thought they would help with my oily skin. But recently I came across mattifying spray and thought, hey maybe I should give normal foundation a go and use a matte setting spray! - review on the setting spray is to come!

So getting back to this foundation. Even though it is winter here in NZ the thought of having a foundation with SPF 15 in it appeals to me right now.

The idea with this foundation is that it is meant to reawaken the skin and give it that nice healthy glow we all want desperately but do not always have, especially when under stress or at work for a long shift!

I found that this foundation not being matte was so different on my skin, it was lovely and smooth to apply and literally takes me only minutes to use on my face and doesn't require a lot of buffing into the skin. The application goes on nice to the skin and gives it a really great smoothing effect.

Also, I found that this is so moisturising also. Normally I find that by the end of the day my makeup is just sliding off my face and if I just even touch my face the makeup would just come off, this is not the case with this. As well as it making my skin feel nourished and soft it doesn't rub off and has amazing pigment to it, it really makes my skin look flawless!

In general I normally wear this foundation as one layer but I have tested to see if I can build on it more. With one layer its light to medium coverage but it is easy to build up to a medium coverage. I have not tried to go past that point as yet!

It also does not make my pores appear larger nor gives me the weird patches on my face or neck where the foundation has separated towards the end of the day.

I have tried this foundation with my normal moisturiser under it, see post here for review and details on my current favorite moisturiser. I have had no issues with that moisturiser, I am interested in testing out my other types also with this to see how it lasts. It seems fine with or without a primer under it and it doesn't seem to change the appearance of the make up or the longevity at all.

I do understand where the name and idea is from for this makeup and I truly believe that this foundation is wonderful. I can see myself repurchasing it in the future, I would recommend this as a great budget foundation for the day to day person that just wants something quick and easy to get there day started.

I would be interested to hear your opinions on this also! Have you tried the concealer of the same name as well? I think that will be the next product I try from this brand!

Happy weekend everyone

Palmers facial wipes & skin therapy oil review

Hi all!

Today I am writing a review on two products! The Palmers cocoa butter formula cleansing wipes & skin therapy oil.

I have learnt very recently how extremely important it is to look after your skin. It's not something I had ever really thought of at all, I've always moisturized but that's all the care I've really put in. I went through stages of using the facial cleansing and moisturizing products from the store Lush but found no much difference at all for my skin , for the most part they broke me out and caused my skin to be irritated. I adore Lush but I think the brand wasn't right for my skin. I still do use there bath products though!

I have combination skin with a small amount of adult acne, and its not fun at all. I have a good amount of scaring from acne in my youth also.

I had been experiencing my makeup not sitting well on my skin and was so confused as to what was going on ,also I had some random dry patches that just wouldn't leave. How annoying!
My skin always stung and just never felt great and always looked dull.

So upon doing A LOT of research into what's going on and seeing what products my body responded to I found these two items. I'm not new to this brand but have only ever used there body lotions.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter formula Palmer's is a "cruelty free" company and does not conduct product tests on animals.

Facial wipes
The facial wipes are the most expensive ones I've ever purchased. I was to be honest put off by the cost. Not that it's actually THAT expensive at all but I don't like to waste my money at all. But let me tell you , these are so good!
My skin feels so nourished when I use these. I have tried using a different brand in between packs to make sure it is these little gems that are really helping. I have noticed that my skin has had far less breakouts using these. Of course I have added other products to my routine that will be helping but I do solely believe these are helping my skin immensely. Plus also helping the ageing process by keeping my skin hydrated.

Skin therapy oil
The skin therapy oil has been fabulous. I started with a different type of face oil but when I ran out of it I thought well why not try this brand since I was having such a positive results from the wipes.

This oil has been the little extra something my poor skin was requiring. I use it on my face and body. Once a week if not sometimes more when my skin is feel a bit parched I normally add in a good few drops of this to my moisturizer and massage it gently and well into my skin before bed time. That way I feel my skin really soaks it up.
Normally I do this on the weekend and have little sleep in so my skin has it on for much longer than it would on a week night . My skin feels wonderful and refreshed by morning.
This product is also helping the sun damage I have to my nose and forehead as well as the scaring I have with acne plus other injury's that have caused scaring to my face.
I believe it will also help my skin even out the dryness which is turn is causing oiliness.

Both of these products I feel stand up to what they promise and have been one of the best things I have done for my skin. I will also eventually post about a couple of other products I have found that have worked wonders as I have had a big skincare regime update to really look after my skin.

The product description on the Palmers Australian website is:

The natural way to clean makeup and the day's debris off your face, Palmer's Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Wipes are dual textured – one side gently cleanses while the other gently exfoliates.
They effectively remove makeup (even mascara) without alcohol or parabens, while moisturizing with cocoa butter to keep skin soft and supple.

RRP $7.49 (25pk)

The Skin Therapy Oil
A hero product. Oils are taking their pride of place in the sun (or is that on the shelf?) and Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil sits right at the top. This beautifully light oil has been specially formulated to reduce the appearance of scars, spots and stretch marks, while also helping to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. It really is a wonder oil that will treat as well as prevent marks all over the body and comes in a great, new pump dispenser. Skin Therapy Oil is paraben and phthalate free.
Great for :
• Scars.
• Stretch Marks.
• Dry, Damaged Skin.
• Uneven Skin Tone.
• Aging Skin.
RRP $9.99 -60ml, $17.99 -150ml

So that's my thoughts, I really do hope that you find them helpful and really consider giving these products a go!

I have an Instagram, check it out here! I post a lot of products a mini reviews, a lot of pretty things, and all sorts more!
